Videokonferencing at KTH.

At KTH we have two main different videoconferencing options available.

  1. For video conferences with less demand for high video quality but emphasis on cooperation - we have the web-based Adobe Connect Pro Use http://connect.sunet.se and login with your KTH identity. (choose Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan in the list first). For more info: Adobe_Connect_at_KTH

  2. For higher quality videoconferencing we have a Tandberg system with a central videoconferencing bridge (MCU) and the "Cisco Jabber (formerly Tandberg MOVI)" software. This allows you to have meetings from PC and Mac. At various places at KTH there is also "Video Conferencing Studios" or Movable Video Units, with better quality. To use the software you need a "video-account". You need to request this at videoconfsupport@lan.kth.se On the MCU there are a number of "meeting rooms" available they are called by a number like: 901@video.kth.se, 902@video.kth.se etc. For more info see: Highend_VideoConferencing_KTH

Cameras: To be part of a videokonference on your computer you need a camera. The builtin camera on a laptop will normally work with both Adobe Connect and MOVI. The cameras also includes a microphone. Other recommended cameras:

Headsets: In case you need privacy or have background noise. You need a headset. Examples:
